Sittin Pretty Farm
Sittin Pretty is the community outreach arm of Further Along.
Sittin Pretty’s Pizza Night events and cabin rentals have allowed us to support other local non-profit organizations. Since 2022, we have donated over $60,000 to over 40 nonprofits and causes.
Our commercial kitchen and gathering space serve as an incubator for local small food businesses as well as an idyllic setting for weddings, fundraisers, parties, reunions, company retreats and other events.
Merry Green Marvel
The Merry Green Marvel creates personal and community transformation through adventure and service learning.
We offer service and adventure trips aboard our 36 passenger sleeper coach bus, guided kayak tours and summer camps.
We aim to create experiences where participants can learn directly from local leaders what it means to be a positive force of community change. We lend our hearts, hands and minds to being part of this change.
Wetland Restoration & Service Opportunities
Since joining in the recovery efforts after Hurricane Ida in 2016, Further Along has led service based projects in the New Orleans area focusing on wetland restoration and supporting local community based organizations.
With easy access to the city of New Orleans, we create an immersive experience rich in the soulful, resilient culture that is SE Louisiana.
We also offer guided kayak tours in the natural wonder of the cypress-tupelo swamp in and around Tickfaw State Park near Springfield, LA.
